The Million Coaches Challenge, funded by the Susan Crown Exchange, is teaming up with the California Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness and Mental Well-being for the 25x25 California Coaches Challenge! The mission is to train 25,000 youth coaches by 2025 to revolutionize youth sports across the state. As part of the Council’s Move Your Body, Calm Your Mind Campaign, the Governor’s Council is collaborating with MCC partners Positive Coaching Alliance and Center for Healing and Justice through Sport to lead a statewide effort to promote positive youth development, social-emotional learning, and healing-centered practices among youth coaches. @airinforms will provide research support for the initiative Join us in celebrating the monumental effort to make a lasting impact on California's youth.? ???? Susan Crown Exchange, Pivotal Ventures, Hopelab, Omidyar Network, Archewell Foundation, Reynolds Lookup Fund / LookUp.Live, ENLIGHT FOUNDATION, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Oak Foundation, Pinterest, Carmel Hill Fund, and the AI Collaborative have partnered to invest $2.5 million into the fund for a second year of disbursement to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations, ? This grant, awarded by our partners at Young Futures Org, is a testament to their commitment to empowering (pre)teens aged 10-19 in navigating the complexities of the digital age. With this grant comes not only a financial boost of $100,000 but also invaluable access to the Young Futures Academy. Over the next six months, they'll have the opportunity to engage in tailored leadership and organizational coaching, mentorship sessions, community building activities, and media support. We're excited to follow the journey of these Young Futures Innovators and, as partners, continue to cheer on this important and necessary work. But how does this training impact coaches and the communities they serve? Did you know? 88% of MCC coaches agree that participation in training made them a better coach! ??
