It was a privilege to support the current cohort in Operations School by speaking on systems, automation, and AI. The energy and interaction were both high, and lots of great questions. Can’t wait to do it again!

Interesting pie chart from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan CEO Tricia Keith Curious how much more ‘administrative’ cost is buried within the in-patient, out-patient, and professional claim categories? A lot of providers have to spend more on administration than delivering care, particularly if they accept multiple insurance plans. The administrative burden on households is also high, considering the amount of time needed to reconcile provider billing statements with explanations of benefits that are processed asynchronously. #DPC25 #healthcarecosts

It's been a lot of fun helping Michigan cities and counties prepare for major investment in broadband infrastructure. If you're curious about how your community could benefit from the upcoming Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, be sure to register for this upcoming webinar from SEMCOG. $1.559 billion has been allocated to Michigan to support the expansion of high-speed internet to over 238,000 unserved and underserved locations across the state.?This webinar will help you prepare to support applications for BEAD funds since a lot of competition from internet service providers is expected. #broadband #internetforall https://lnkd.in/gdpyv5gt

The jury is still out among #manufacturing executives as to whether potential tariffs will spur more on-shoring in America. Some may simply relocate to other lower-cost countries, and some may simply pass along higher costs to customers. Either way, having a manufacturing strategy that deals with externalities like this is crucial. How does your organization mitigate this kind of risk? Process standardization, equipment flexibility, and “local-for-local” production are popular options. What other ones have you seen that are effective and avoid a huge operational disruption?
