Gifted students from Beacon Hill Middle School in Decatur, Ga., toured the Supreme Court of Georgia earlier this week and met with Justices Charlie Bethel and Carla Wong McMillian to learn more about state appellate courts. Students also participated in mock oral arguments.

Members of Youth Leadership Robins Regional Chamber toured the Supreme Court of Georgia earlier this week. During their visit, the high-schoolers participated in a mock oral argument and heard from Justice Verda Colvin about the role of state appellate courts in the judicial branch.

Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs announced today that he will resign from the Supreme Court of Georgia effective March 31, 2025, which is the last day of the Court’s current term. He plans to return to private practice in South Georgia. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eneEk9YB
