The SuperYacht Racing Association (SYRA) is a non-profit organization established in May, 2011. Membership is open to any superyacht owner (or owner’s representative) who participate in superyacht regattas, superyacht event organizers, superyacht industry related companies and individuals.

As the manager of SYRA, who better to bring readers of BOAT International Media magazine the inside track on the St Barths Bucket Regatta than Shirley Robertson? Shirley details the courses and the classes that await the #superyacht racing fleet in this month's issue.
When SYRA was founded in 2011, the Association collaborated with the ORC to devise a handicapping system that would help level the playing field for the racing of #sailing superyachts. "Superyacht racing is pretty special - the most beautiful and biggest sailing boats ever built racing in some of the world's most stunning locations. But more than that, it's great fun. A NEW HOME FOR THE SUPERYACHT CUP! Organisers of The Superyacht Cup Palma have announced the 2025 regatta will take place at a new venue - the prestigious Club de Mar-Mallorca ?? This move will bring the yachts, crew, and owners together in an all-new Superyacht Cup Race Village. “We are always looking for new ways to improve and enhance the Superyacht Cup Palma experience for owners, skippers and partners, and a base in the new-look recently developed Club de Mar-Mallorca does just that. Having the opportunity to host all the superyachts racing at our event on the dock together at the heart of Palma is what the Superyacht Cup is all about and interest from competitors is at an all-time high.” - Event Director, Kate Branagh. The Club de Mar-Mallorca was founded in 1972, and is renowned for facilities and services aligned with the needs of larger sailing yachts. The Cyclades Cup returns to the #superyacht regatta scene for its second edition this June, and entries are now open. Sailing icons will return to Antiparos for a great few days on the water. The regatta is open to all sailing yachts of 30m and above, as well as featuring 90ft & 100ft racing classes. What's it all about? Take a look at last year's video, by The Studio Illume.
