I find lack of motivation interesting. Because don't we all want better? It doesn't make sense. These are the 4 reasons for lack of motivation: ? Lack of direction ? Fear ? Scope of the challenge ? Your perspective I'll address the first three in the future. Today I'll focus on the most insidious one...your perspective. A common thing I hear is "well, I get motivated when I'm at a breaking point. When the $hit hits the fan." Let me ask you the following question: Are you constantly stressed about money? Your job? Your relationships? Your health? Are you constantly looking for something more? Something better? If the answer to any of the above is "yes" then the $hit hit the fan a long time ago. It just happened gradually so you didn't notice. You got used to it and gaslit yourself into thinking it's normal. With all due respect, it may be normal for a lot of people but why should it be YOUR normal? There's no law that says you have to keep living this way. Some homework if you're interested: 1. Think about the above 4 reasons for lack of motivation and write down which ones are valid for you. Which is the biggest? Or is there just one? 2. Can you spare 20 minutes a day? I hope so because 20 minutes is nothing. You probably spend more time on Instagram. Take a brisk purposeful?20 minute walk every day. Not a stroll.?You can even scroll through Instagram while walking. Or listen to music or podcasts. Or just clear your mind. But do it. Every day. 20 minutes. Pro Tip: Physical exercise creates dopamine. Dopamine helps with motivation. It's medically proven.
