    Ep. 5: The Great Resume Fails It was a cold, dark winter night. Most civilians of Talentopia had drifted off to sleep, except for one… Rachel, the HR Manager of a Fintech startup was wide awake. And to make it worse, she was FURIOUS ?? The startup was on shaky ground with investors. But to make things worse, they had a huge employee retention problem. Candidates would start. Then quit. It was odd though… Because the new hires always seemed to quit on day 91, just so the traditional staffing horde could collect their placement fee ?? Needing a change... The HR Manager dug through her contacts until she came across the one person she knew could help… And just like that, BANG! ?? The CV Comet burst through the door! The Comet zoomed over to Rachel’s computer and immediately started sifting through mountains of resumes that were untagged in the startup’s ATS. Going through thousands of data sets a second, seeing through all the fake AI-generated resumes, until he found the one! A hidden gem. A gem that had applied months ago but was missed by the traditional staffing horde… The candidate was a fintech expert who led three prior startups acquisitions to major PE firms. Finally, the unicorn they had been searching for. The next day, the HR Manager with a smirk on her face moved a folder she had notoriously been tracking for years "Resume Fails", to the trash. Their customer database was being ATTACKED by some foreign hacker. The Founder, known as Rastafari knew ZiggyThreads needed help, and fast! He picked up his phone to call his staffing partner at 8 PM for help... Only to find out he was sleeping! ?? After waking up, the recruiter crawled to his computer to send Rastafari a "stud", that he claimed would solve all their problems. But, in typical Staffing Horde fashion, the recruiter sent Fari a candidate who couldn't even spell “cybersecurity,” let alone understand how to prevent ransomware attacks. The CEO of ZiggyThreads was pissed and scared. Moments later, Rastafari combed through his desk to find a business card he got from someone earlier that year. He then made a call that would change everything. He called The Super Recruiters! ? The very next day, Resume Man, with his lightning-fast resume-scanning power, tracked down a candidate who was a true code ninja—trained in both martial arts and cybersecurity, a warrior capable of defending both the physical and digital worlds. ?     Yesterday was a BIG win for us. Not to mention, a crazy rollercoaster ride… Here’s the story - Over the last few months, Super Recruiter had been a candidate for a larger RPO project with a company that needs to hire a bunch of people over the next 12 months. Sounds cool right? Now get this… Yesterday the President of the company no-showed our final meeting, that he put onto my calendar lol. I thought we were dead in the water ?? A little bummed, I jumped off the zoom and went back to the grind. 30 minutes later… I get a text from the President (who was supposed to be on the meeting) to tell me they WERE moving forward with Super Recruiter ???? Turns out, he was late to the office and had a morning from hell. …talk about a rollercoaster of emotions ???? When I asked him why us, he said two reasons: 1) Reporting. 2 of the 4 vendors don’t offer reporting, you do. 2) Technology. We were the only data driven recruiting partner w/ results to prove it. ? We deploy a predictable hiring model ? We have a crystal ball ? We’re reliable To makeup for the morning, he signed our contract same day and said they would pay the first two months upfront.
