A recent study published in Primary Care explores the transformative impact of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in healthcare. The research highlights their potential to enhance patient care and medical education while also addressing challenges in implementation and integration into current practices. ? ??????'?? ?????????????????????????? ???? ????/???? ?????????????? ?????????????? The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its list of authorized medical devices incorporating AR and VR technologies, now totaling 69 devices. These devices span various medical fields, including pediatric diagnostics, pain management, mental health, and surgical planning, underscoring the growing adoption of immersive technologies in healthcare. ? ????????'?? ?????????? ???? ?????????????? ?????????????????? Meta has unveiled 'Orion,' an advanced prototype of holographic AR glasses featuring a wrist-based neural interface and weighing under 100 grams. While no release date has been announced, this development underscores Meta's dedication to AR innovation, with potential applications in telemedicine and remote medical training. These developments highlight the dynamic nature of AR, VR, XR, and metaverse technologies in healthcare. Significant strides are being made in medical applications and regulatory approvals.

As we propel towards the end of 2024, we had the opportunity to participate in an event hosted by tour.ivrha.org in Dallas on October 29th. The event was well organized by Bob Fine at the Brain Health Center, University of Texas, Dallas and was participated by amazing companies who are leveraging AI, AR and XR to diagnose, treat and develop successful outcomes ranging from social anxiety to patient education to skin cancer. Last but not least, SuperNova Academy Inc and MelaScan are working towards a potential collaboration towards a 10 month program hosted by American Cancer Society supporting the translation of therapeutic, diagnostic, medical device, and digital health innovations from research institutions to the market.

Job Title: Content Developer (Anatomy & Physiology) Location: Remote Reports To: Chief Medical and Academic Officers Company Overview We are an innovative online education platform dedicated to providing immersive and interactive learning experiences in anatomy and physiology for students in fields such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and mortuary science. Position Overview We are seeking skilled Content Developers with expertise in anatomy and physiology to create high-quality educational materials that align with National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines. Key Responsibilities 1. Content Creation and Development Develop, write, and edit educational materials, including lessons, quizzes, interactive modules, and VR/AR content scripts, that cover foundational and advanced topics in anatomy and physiology. Create visually rich, scientifically accurate, and accessible content that enhances understanding of the human body’s systems, structures, and functions. 2. Research and Evidence-Based Alignment Conduct extensive research using NIH resources and other credible, peer-reviewed sources to ensure all materials reflect the latest scientific knowledge and best practices. Incorporate findings from primary NIH resources, such as MedlinePlus, PubMed, and other NIH publications, to maintain content credibility and precision. 3. Collaboration and Review Work closely with medical advisors, instructional designers, and multimedia developers to ensure content is pedagogically effective and technologically integrated. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in anatomy, physiology, biomedical sciences, or a related field; Experience: At least 2 years of experience in content development or instructional design, preferably in anatomy and physiology education. Knowledge: Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the NIH’s guidelines for medical education; familiarity with NIH research databases is highly desirable. Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a student audience. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with NIH resources and healthcare guidelines, such as HIPAA, and best practices for medical content creation. Key Competencies Detail-Oriented: Commitment to accuracy, particularly in scientific content. Instructional Design Mindset: Understanding of pedagogical principles for anatomy and physiology education, with a focus on student engagement.
