Meet one of our CNC Operators, Bill! ?? From Topeka, Bill is one of our newer employees who joined the team about 3 months ago. He brought to STS 12 years of experience in CNC operation, previously having worked in the aircraft industry. Prior to this, Bill was a long-time chef who helped open multiple restaurants in Kansas. Bill's daily work includes running machines, inspecting parts, and more. He enjoys the culture and family atmosphere at STS and is appreciative of his colleagues' willingness to help out. At the end of 2024, we gave you a preview of another new machine we added to our shop—the ANCA FX7 Ultra. It's been up and running in our shop! This machine is on the cutting edge of precision, higher resolution and finish, guaranteeing perfection for tools down to 0.1mm (not that we want to grind any that small!?!) Meet our Manager, Bobby! ?? Bobby has been with our team for 19 years. Second only to STS' owner, Clint, Bobby has been here the longest! He says that he learned everything he knows about the industry while working on the job. Bobby is from Cheney and before joining our team, he worked in the electrical industry. In his role, he runs machines, works on quality control/efficiency, does machine repairs, and more. Bobby says he appreciates that every day is different!
