Out of 254 founders in the current YC W25 batch, 6 founders (across 3 startups) hail from CDTM - an institution with just ~25 students per semester and a 4-semester program. To put this in perspective: ?? If CDTM were a standalone university (rather than a joint program of TUM & LMU), it would rank #15 globally for the number of founders in this batch. ?? Given its small student body, CDTM surpasses even Stanford & MIT in founder representation relative to enrollment. And CDTM’s influence doesn’t stop there: ?? TUM now ranks 6th globally - the only German university on the list, with representation in the past YC batch. ?? 6 out of 8 founders that studied at TUM also studied at CDTM. ?? This isn’t a one-off—back in YC S24 for instance, 8 CDTM founders joined the cohort! looks like we found pmf! at least for the superglue chapsticks we gifted to batch mates using, testing or contributing to superglue (YC W25) building a functional product in 5 weeks is no easy feat - we wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support from our peers, their candid feedback and trust this early on in our journey. what continues to amaze me about Y Combinator and SF in general is people’s willingness to help, and their abundance mindset in doing so. If you win, they win, and so on. Rather than being stingy with advice, trust, cash, we’ve received all of the above, encouraging us that much more to pay it forward ourselves. For now we’re doing it with sticky merch that keeps their lips hydrated. ??

did some fast ui prototyping with Lovable for superglue (YC W25) ???? here are my thought process/prompts/goals for this: - so far we've been prioritizing shipping fast and writing reliable code over design/UX. we're literally still using default shadcn ?? - as more people are testing our beta and using superglue to prompt data sources and APIs, I've been thinking about how to make this delightful and smooth, pulling from my experience in consumer and building consumer apps - my concerns/thought process is: how can we get users to the aha moment as fast as possible (ideally within first few seconds), lead with our core value prop instead of burying it behind steps/chores to get there, get users to trust us, convey added value effectively the below is a WIP but I'm getting much better at understanding what our users care about and so the UI will fast follow with those learnings. most importantly, through every user interaction I'm getting a better feeling for why superglue is freaking cool and really novel in its approach, which is extremely energizing. love this for me and for us. happy valentines!
