I was so excited to join the team and said, “I can’t wait to see where CLEARSTEM will be in 5 years!” Fast forward to today: WE did it (Elle Wood's voice), and here WE are. ??     Does a creator have an audience, or a true community? Kendall Dickieson at Graza explains the crucial differences: ?? Community: Active followers, high engagement, frequent interactions. ?? Audience: Passive followers, low engagement, low interaction. An active, engaged community is more likely to trust and act on recommendations from a creator. So, don't be blinded by big follower counts when vetting creators! Instead, look for these green flags: ? Frequent, meaningful comments from followers ? Creators engaging with comments ? Conversations happening between followers ? Followers tagging friends and sharing a creator's content These are the signs of a thriving, tight-knit community centered around a creator—and that's your ticket to a high ROI program.

    Do you REALLY need usage rights for an entire year? Not according to Lindsey Gamble. Here's what you should do instead: ? Identify the content that's performing best organically. This will likely yield the best results when boosted. ? Begin with 30-60 day usage periods. This avoids overpaying for rights you won't end up using as fresh assets come in. ? If a piece of content proves evergreen, circle back to the creator to extend the usage period. So be selective, start small, and scale smart. Your budget will thank you! ??     Set up your influencers with guidelines, NOT requirements ?? This is Korina Sanchez at Chomps' advice for authentic, impactful content?? What does this look like? ? Provide must-haves only for critical elements (e.g. link stickers in Instagram Stories for direct response campaigns) ? Provide simple do's and don'ts for consistency & quality (e.g. well-lit area, no competing products in frame) ? Allow freedom in storytelling & execution ?? Avoid micromanaging the creative process Remember: Your brand is partnering with creators because they speak the language of your target audience. Set clear expectations with minimal guardrails, and leave the rest to your creators' talents!     There's no Glassdoor (yet! ??) to look up what rate to offer an influencer. Milan Robarts shares her top 3 tactics for getting the best deal: ??. ???????? ???????????????? ???????????? ????????. The first offer you make likely won't be accepted by the creator. Leave yourself enough space to bump your offer or throw in another incentive. ??. ???????? ???? ???????? ??????????.?Whether it's their audience size, engagement rate, or campaign goals, you should ALWAYS be able to rationalize the details of your offer during negotiations. ??. ???????? ???????? ???????????? ????????????????????. Creators and talent managers talk! Make sure you're offering a fair rate to influencers of a similar profile. Remember: There's a real person behind each profile. Acknowledge the time and energy that goes into an influencer's content. A little respect goes a long way in building lasting partnerships!     After years of online collaboration, countless zoom meetings and messages I finally was able to meet up with Lauren Maxwell and Colleen Pereos. They helped me build For The Clout slack channel, from a handful of friends to over 300+ CPG brands nationwide. So grateful for all the time and effort these ladies have given me over the years. ??
