Powerful takeaways that left an impact on me: Speak Up for Change: Philonise Floyd (pictured with me), brother of George Floyd, inspired us all to challenge injustices and advocate for our values. As marketers, it’s our responsibility to voice concerns and influence decisions that affect diverse communities. Own your power and make your voice heard! Consider the Source: Gabrielle Shirdan ‘s words resonate: "If you want to know about women, trust women. If you want to know about black people, trust black people." To authentically connect with audiences, brands must reflect on who’s behind their campaigns. Prioritize diverse voices and invest in real impact. 86 the Labels: The term ‘multicultural’ is now ‘mainstream.’ What has historically been referred to as a multicultural audience is now the majority of the general market who demand bold authenticity, integrity, and transparency.
