Hi everyone, first time making such an announcement but here's an update! After a short break volunteering on a project in rural Pakistan, i'm proud to announce that I have joined Rocket Science Group ?? GDC as an APM and will be working on the Super Collider team to make epic things happen. Ecstatic to be part of a collective of awesome crew mates working on the hardest problems and having lots of fun doing it. The straw hat and the nerf gun don't go belong together but oh well. #daremightythings

Roblox hosted its 10th annual developer conference last week and it's clear this is one of the most meaningful platforms in entertainment and technology. Their hype video showcased a depth of game variety that resembles my local Family Fun Center arcade in the 1980's, featuring genres for all types of players including racing, shooters, dress-up, rocket building and more. In this short hype video, Roblox could show off games on its platform using massive IP like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, NBA, Beyblade, Kung Fu Panda, Barbie and Stranger Things. A new party system will make it even easier for players to have fun together - which is really the secret sauce of the platform - Roblox is the new mall arcade, where tweens and teens hangout with each other. Simply put, if you're a younger player in North America, Roblox is your gaming platform of choice. If you're a developer, they want you to start or keep making games on Roblox. E-commerce partnerships with Spotify and a Creator Affiliate Program are giving existing #gamedevelopers even more ways to earn sustainable income. And they're coming for PC indie devs too, offering new revenue sharing for premium games, according to GameDeveloper.com: ?? 50% revenue share for games priced at $9.99 ?? ?? 60% revenue share for games priced at $29.99 or more ?? ???? 70% revenue share for games priced at $49.99 or more All of this comes as Roblox's CEO David Baszucki states his company's goal to reach 10 percent of the global gaming market's revenue and a billion daily active users. Roblox is taking its dominant market position as the best way to play together and trying to grow its business with increased revenue opportunities for game makers and better features and new games for players.
