    Bernd Kaufmann, our CEO and owner, passed away on July 7th, 2024. We are incredibly sad. We are losing a wonderful person and visionary. ? Bernd's declared goal in recent years was to make Simtec independent of himself - to devote more time to travelling with his family and motorhome, and to prepare for retirement. Work on this goal had been a priority since the spring of 2022, made possible by the company structure developed over the past 10 years. Since the beginning of the year Bernd has led the company while sharing management responsibilities with Andreas Stickel, Philipp Hellwig, Dr. Robert Ekelhof and Philipp Kaufmann, his son. The next steps we had planned together with Bernd must now be implemented at short notice due to this sad development. Andreas Stickel, who has been representing Simtec to our customers for many years, is taking over the role of Managing Director. Bernd has always been an optimist and has prepared the company well for the time without him. In this spirit we will continue Bernd's life's work. Our thoughts are with his family. ??
