Reflecting on 2024 – Mobilizing $400M in Impact Investments In partnership with our incredible community of investors, partners and changemakers, we closed 2024 with nearly $400M mobilized across 270 impact investments— reaffirming our position as one of the most active impact investors globally. This investment activity spanned critical areas of need, including climate and social equity – furthering our organization’s mission to address existential challenges facing the planet and its most vulnerable communities. 2024 highlights: ?? A growing private investment portfolio: By year-end, we expanded our active private impact investments to 1,200—spanning both domestic and international funds and companies across private equity, private debt, credit, project finance and more. ? Delivering on the energy transition:?More than one-third of our 2024 investments target climate solutions. This includes financing for community-based clean energy, such as Sunwealth Solar Justice Fund, which develops high-performance solar projects in low-income communities – expanding access to clean energy and advancing local workforce development. ?? Expanding equality and access:?Over half?of the dollars invested focused on equitable access and financial inclusion, including investments like Hope Enterprise Corporation, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that works to meet the financial needs of individuals and families in the Deep South of the United States. ?? Launching Thematic Impact Funds:?Recently launched, these funds deployed $70M?in their first year—underscoring the rising demand for targeted solutions to urgent global challenges. As 2025 begins, ImpactAssets continues to collaborate with visionary clients, fund managers, entrepreneurs and other leaders to mobilize private and philanthropic capital to drive bold outcomes. Sunwealth is excited to announce that we have closed on a Guaranteed Loan of up to $289.7 million from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (“DOE”). We are appreciative of the DOE’s confidence in our mission to provide clean, affordable energy through community-based solar projects. This milestone marks a significant step forward in Sunwealth’s growth, highlighting our progress as a champion of the underserved solar market as well as the ongoing opportunity to build a more equitable and sustainable energy future. The DOE Guaranteed Loan supports the growth of Sunwealth’s solar and solar plus storage portfolio and expansion into new markets nationwide. To date, Sunwealth has financed and built more than 750 projects, delivering over 67 MW of installed community-based solar+ projects across the country. This investment will boost our ability to raise complimentary project capital, catalyzing Sunwealth’s efforts to deliver clean energy and cost savings to diverse communities, strengthen the electric grid through Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), create jobs, and unlock new opportunities to deepen our impact. We’re proud to announce that Sunwealth was featured as a case study in a new report by the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA), created as part of the Department of Energy’s Equitable Solar Communities of Practice program. You can view the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e2JsM7v3 Our team was involved in drafting and editing the report, and we are honored to be highlighted as the first case study on pages 25-26. It’s rewarding to see our efforts recognized as a national example of how to drive meaningful household savings for low-income individual, families, and communities through equitable solar solutions. The report highlights Sunwealth’s efforts to eliminate barriers that hinder community solar engagement and our community-based approach to development, which involves partnering with local leaders and organizations to bring energy savings to the communities that need them most. We look forward to continuing our work to advance best practices and drive an inclusive, accessible clean energy future.

A new report, "Meaningful Household Savings: Best Practices for Achieving Equitable Solar Development," compiles research on best practices for designing solar programs that provide meaningful benefits to low-and-moderate income households. The report examines different types of solar projects, including residential-serving community solar, rooftop solar, and installations serving multifamily affordable housing. It includes six case studies and information about savings verification.
