“WATER OF LIFE” PROGRAM CLOSING CEREMONY – SUSTAINABLE FOREST DEVELOPMENT MODEL TOWARDS WATER REPLENISHMENT, CARBON OFFSET, AND LIVELIHOOD ENHANCEMENT On 11 December, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), proudly organized the Closing Ceremony of the “WATER OF LIFE” Program in Ky Son, Nghe An, announcing the results of program in 2024. The event was attended by leaders of Forestry Department, MARD; along with Nghe An local authority, forest owners, and local people joining the reforestation program. The "Water of Life" program reflects Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s commitment to water cultivation and replenishment, carbon offset, and improving livelihoods. In its first year of implementation across three provinces—Bac Kan, Nghe An, and Ca Mau—the program achieved remarkable outcomes: ·???????In 2024, the program planted and enriched 35 hectares of forest, adding to the total reforested area by Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam to nearly 200 hectares since 2021. ·????????Beyond environmental impacts, the program was designed to create positive impact to society including improve their livelihoods for local people in remote areas and raising their awareness on the importance of forest. Mr. L? Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Friendship Golf Tournament 2024: Where Every Swing Spread Hope and Joy The Suntory PepsiCo Friendship Golf Tournament 2024 was successfully held on November 16, bringing together with 116 golfers from both Vietnam and international. This year, the Golf tournament successfully raised nearly 3 billions VND through fundraising and art auctions, spreading hope to children through treatment aid to pediatric cancer patients via the HCMC Sponsoring Poor Patient Association and helping children back to schools after Yagi typhoon by granting scholarships for pupils through the Saigon Times Foundation – Pham Phu Thu scholarship program. Not just a sport event, the Suntory PepsiCo Friendship Golf Tournament is a shared value platform, spreading hope, and joy to the community. This year’s program embraced the theme “Spreading Hope for Tomorrow” featuring auction of artworks crafted by children in the photo contest named Mizuiku - “Nurture the flow, Future will grow” and pediatric cancer patients in the “Sun of Hope” project were auctioned to support children in sharing hope and pursuing their dreams. 2024 marks a special milestone when the company operates in Vietnam for 30 years, sustaining the leadership in the industry while contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
