Top Volunteer Shout Out!? ? A huge shout out to our Top Volunteer of the 2024 summer camp season, Rachel McGrath!? ? Rachel spent 58 hours this summer volunteering with our campers, and making the magic of overnight camp possible.? ? "One of my favorite camp memories is always canoe night - I love counting turtles, learning camp songs, and getting to know my campers while we canoe on Lady Bird Lake."? ? We are looking for people who believe in ASC's mission, want to make a positive impact on our campers lives, have strong interpersonal skills, and leadership skills.? ? We are hiring: Assistant Camp Directors, Program Coordinators, CIT & Collegiate Volunteer Coordinators, Camper Wellness Coordinators, Camp Nurses, Camp Counselors, Counselors in Training, and Kitchen Assistants.? ? Our team had a blast at the second annual Shooting for Sunshine fundraiser benefitting Austin Sunshine Camps! ? ? A HUGE thank you to the team at Skybeck Construction for organizing this awesome event, and for supporting ASC in so many ways all year round. ? ? Thanks to your support more than 80 kids will get to experience the magic of overnight summer camp without the barrier of cost!

Meet David Roberts, our new Chief Development Officer!? ? As a former ASC Board Member and longtime volunteer, David is no stranger to Austin Sunshine Camps! With a passion for relationship-building, an intimate knowledge of our mission, and a deeply-held belief in the transformative impact of camp, David is thrilled to be joining the team as ASC’s new Chief Development Officer.? ? In his free time, you can usually find David either enjoying a movie at Alamo Drafthouse or pursuing his quest to eat at every pizza place in Austin.? ? David can't wait to meet you tomorrow at our Stakeholder Breakfast!
