"What top Consumer AI app do you recommend?" Our icebreaker today for #LATechWeek event with Emerging LA x The GenAI Collective! My answer, you ask? I raved about 2 (yes I cheated and didn't only pick 1), Snipd and Granola. They have become core tools that feed into my second brain of notes!!! (?????????? ???????? ?????? ???? ?????? ??????????'?? ??????????????, ?????????? ???? ??????????) This also marked the kick off the GenAI LA chapter, and what a memorable launch during TECH WEEK by a16z !! We had great conversations focused on building genuine connection. Absolutely love GenAI’s community building focused on the principles of connection, positive sum, authenticity, participation, and curiosity. For those that don't know, GenAI Collective is one of the United States' largest community of AI researchers, founders, operators, and investors. I believe the collective will find LA to be home of one of the most diverse, driven, scrappy, and inclusive AI ecosystems. And the specific use of GenAI is extremely relevant down here in the Creative Capital of the World! --- H/T to Chappy Asel for flying down from SF to support, lead the way, and help make this more intimate and participatory event happen! First official #LATechWeek event done, Emerging LA took 40 founders & VCs to NASA JPL! ?? ?? ???? Enjoyed a chance to revisit the space tour to learn about rockets & robotics, this time with a larger group of community members from LA and those who are visiting for TECH WEEK by a16z We learned: ? The origin of JPL and its roots to Caltech ? "Jets" was the preferred term in the 30s over "Rockets" ? JPL has more to do with Robotics than it does Rockets ? Lookout for Apophis asteroid to come near Earth on 4/13/29 As you can see, I brought out my inner Hormozi and repped the brand on the shirt, lol Big shout out to the a16z team for the support and a successful launch of LATW, Katia Ameri Rose Johnson!! Year 3 of LATW is already shaping up to be the best one, yet! And it marks my first time participating as a host.
