This Native American Heritage Month, we honor the deep-rooted history and vibrant culture of Native communities, especially in Omak, Washington—home to our fruit snack plant (pictured). Omak is located within the ancestral homelands of the Colville Confederated Tribes, a union of twelve bands that have lived in the region for generations. The Colville Tribes have a profound connection to the land, practicing sustainable agriculture and resource stewardship long before modern methods. Today, they remain an integral part of the region’s cultural and economic fabric, championing environmental preservation and strengthening community resilience. We’re especially grateful to our team members, Terry Llewellyn and Ben Atkins, for sharing their personal stories and reflections on the importance of Native American Heritage Month. #SunOptaProud #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #Diversity?
