Competitive employment offers at least minimum wage and fosters community integration, promoting independence and social inclusion, while sheltered workshops provide a supportive environment for those who may struggle in the competitive job market, typically earning an average wage of $5.36 per hour. Each pathway plays a vital role in empowering individuals, with competitive jobs facilitating personal and professional growth, and sheltered workshops offering structure and community. We have over 175 adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities coming to the event and we need more trunks. Candy will be provided.
