Six teams. 30 Challenges. Three weeks. And only ONE champion. A team of Sunflower employees fought hard to top the leaderboard and be crowned the winner of the 2024 Garden City YMCA Corporate Cup Challenge. The Corporate Cup Challenge is an annual program hosted by the YMCA designed to encourage staff and community collaboration through participation in healthy lifestyle activities. From basketball to pool to pickleball, the Sunflower-sponsored team dominated the challenges, with 10 total first-place finishes among the individual men’s, women’s, and co-ed team events. ??? Saluting Our Heroes: Sunflower Participates in Veterans Day Activities ??? Sunflower was honored to celebrate area veterans on Saturday at the Garden City Veterans Day Parade hosted by the Garden City American Legion Post 9. In addition, Sunflower staff in Great Bend turned a chilly Tuesday morning into a heartwarming celebration of our Sunflower veterans. They hosted a "Donuts with Sunflower Veterans" gathering as a small way to honor and thank our coworkers who have served our country. We pay tribute to the men and women in uniform––past, present, and future––who have proudly served our country and send a heartfelt salute to those who sacrificed for our freedom. ? #VeteransDay #HeroesAmongUs
