Suncoast Center is honored to have been a part of Behavioral Health Day at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum! Standing alongside fellow providers, advocates, and state leaders, we reinforced our shared commitment to strengthening Florida’s behavioral health system. As safety net providers, we are proud to serve individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or Medicaid-eligible—ensuring that mental health and substance use support remains accessible to those who need it most. Thank you to the Florida Behavioral Health Association, our state partners, and everyone working to make a difference in our communities! #BehavioralHealth #MentalHealthMatters #SuncoastCenter #BHDay25
Mental health and substance use providers from across Florida stood shoulder to shoulder at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum on Wednesday to celebrate this year’s Behavioral Health Day. Joining FBHA at the news conference was Shevaun Harris, secretary of the Florida Department of Children and Families, Stefan Grow, chief of staff for the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, and Scott Burgess, CEO of David Lawrence Centers in Naples and chair of FBHA. Thanks to our state partners, FBHA members are the safety net providers in their communities, proudly serving those who are uninsured, underinsured & Medicaid eligible individuals.
