This Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms and to their families who support them. SunBelt Xpress held its fourth quarter safety meeting on Saturday, October 12th, bringing together drivers, staff, and management for an important conversation on road safety. Chad Clark, SVP – General Manager, opened the meeting with a warm welcome, sharing a bit about his journey since joining the team in July. Brent Kiser, VP of Operations, led a moment of silence in honor of drivers who are no longer with us. After a hearty breakfast, the session kicked off with guest speaker Trooper B.L. Joyner who shared valuable insights on DOT inspections and emphasized the importance of safety compliance. Allen Hoffer, Safety Director, celebrated our team’s safety achievements and presented well-deserved awards to Greg Davis, Jerzy Tylicki, Jerry Floyd, and Ricky Lay—each recognized for an impressive 30 years and 3 million miles of safe driving! The meeting wrapped up with prize giveaways making it a full morning of learning and informative discussions, all reinforcing that safety is a team effort at SunBelt Xpress.

Let's give a round of applause to Jerzy Tylicki! Jerzy has reached an incredible milestone of 3 million accident-free miles! He immigrated from Boguszyniec, Poland, with his wife in 1987 in pursuit of the American Dream. As a proud father of two, Jerzy started his trucking journey on highways in 1991. Throughout his textile transportation journeys, he noticed that some drivers operated lighter trucks, which were easier to handle. Curious, he struck up friendships with these drivers and learned they were transporting furniture. This insight opened up new opportunities! He formed a partnership with Sunbelt Xpress and is now celebrating 30 years of service.
