What is this innovation and why am I so proud of our team? ??♂? - About 18 months ago, Clare Blunt, our awesome Category Merchant from Whole Foods Market challenged us to create a more complete ramen meal for home cooks. One where the toppings can match the quality of our noodles. A product that can transport households to become ramen shops. ???? ???? - So our team went to work. Taking the challenge and the request from our partner and working backwards. From product formulation, approachability, quality quality quality, and packaging that can work hard for us on shelf. Wrapped up our first Sun Noodle #OperationsandFinanceSummit in Torrance, CA last week. Incredible two days as we gathered our leaders from #Hawaii, #California, #NewJersey and #TheNetherlands to come together to learn, dialogue, connect, and dream big ?? . ?? - We kicked it off by taking our team to the King's Hawaiian Corporate office and factories. When I think of a world class organization that has built an incredible product, fantastic people-culture, and the best manufacturing process, #kingshawaiian is always the team I benchmark. Winston Akira Taira, thank you for working with us to coordinate this visit. Our team was inspired by the 74-year overnight success ???? ???? ! ???? - Gregg Imamoto took it home on the second half of day 1 by teaching us what makes a successful #highperformanceteam. Loved Gregg's energy and his ability to make difficult things look simple. Also, great clips from #tedlasso and #topgun! Striving for more #mavericks so we can #believe! ??♂? - Melissa Choo Valentinas from Verde Associates walked our team through our DiSC assessment and taught us how to better communicate with each other. Learning about each others personality traits and then being adaptive was key! ??♂? - Ended the day building bikes as a team that we would then donate to Foster Love. These bikes will go to children that will allow them to further engage in extracurricular activities. A big mahalo to every single person who carved out time to be with us. And a big big mahalo to Sylvia H. and Dharuien David for organizing this #sunnoodles summit and making sure everything ran smoothly.
