On February 11, 2025, we had the privilege of hosting nearly 240 nurses at the Nurse Well Being Conference at the Aims Community College Welcome Center in Greeley, Colorado. The energy in the room was inspiring as nurses and nursing students came together to focus on wellness and well-being. This impactful event provided nurses from Northern Colorado and surrounding areas with vital resources and activities to support their wellness, fostering both inspiration and community. Now in its third year, the conference continues to be a cornerstone event dedicated to enhancing nurse well being. Renowned speaker and author LeAnn Thieman delivered an engaging keynote address, “Selfcare for Healthcare,” emphasizing the importance of self-care in the demanding nursing profession. Her insights resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing the necessity of prioritizing personal wellness to sustain professional excellence. The conference also featured four insightful supporting sessions led by distinguished experts: “The Collective Heart: Navigating Grief Together” – Rev. Christopher Watkins Lamb, MDiv, explored the power of shared experiences in processing grief. “Radical Thriving: Creativity in Claiming Self-Ownership” – Emily Glenn, RN, BSN, inspired attendees to embrace creativity as a tool for self-empowerment. “Creating a Culture of Civility and Community” – Cynthia Clark, PhD, RN, ANEF, provided strategies for fostering respectful and supportive workplace environments. “Difficult Conversations” – Julia Gentry Reinink, MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, equipped nurses with tools to navigate challenging professional discussions effectively.
