?? The 4th of March is #WorldObesityDay. On this occasion, let's talk about #obesity and work together to raise public awareness of the fact that it is a risk factor for #MASLD. ??But what is MASLD? MASLD stands for “Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease” and is the most common chronic liver disease in the world. It is characterised by an accumulation of fat in the liver caused by poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle. If not diagnosed in time, it can develop into MASH, leading to irreversible damage such as cirrhosis or liver cancer. An examination with FibroScan? can help diagnose these diseases at an early stage and in a non-invasive way. ?? A historic milestone was reached in the fight against MASH with the first FDA-approved treatment in 2024, and the momentum continues to build in 2025!
