UPDATE: 10th Cancer Survivor Flight Camp for Eagle Mount Bozeman 2024! CAMPER SPOTLIGHT: Please meet 19-year-old Dominic "Dom" Reyes from Puyallup Washington. Dom was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on June 18th, 2018. At the time, he was 13 years old, an avid basketball player and his team had just placed 3rd in State. Dom was on chemotherapy for 3 1/2 years. Unfortunately, during treatment, he had an event of neurotoxicity that was very traumatic. To add to it, almost exactly a year after his diagnosis, Dominic’s cousin was diagnosed with the same cancer which deeply affected his teenage years. While other kids were enjoying summer break and starting 8th grade, he was fighting for his life. It messed with his mental health and how he looked at life, how he approached school, and everything else. Today, Dom has turned things around for himself. He graduated high school in 2023 after finishing cancer treatment on October 23rd, 2021, which was coincidentally his 17th birthday – and his cousin is doing well too! Dom is excited about flight camp because he’s considering an aviation career. He loves the scenery and nature of Montana and to have the opportunity to fly over it is unbelievable. Dom enjoys most sports including basketball, baseball, and football. Dom is also into cars and has been an Eagle Mount Big Sky kid since 2019. Please meet Chrystian Coraizaca and read his incredible story below: My name is Chrystian Coraizaca, I am 20 years old, born on November 5th, 2003. My hobbies are spending time with family, going to the gym, and keeping active. I was just a small-town family guy living in Danbury, CT. I was constantly selfless, putting others first: family, friends, and strangers. I am the youngest of two, middle child to my father, and I live happily with my adoring mother. Life was heading in the right direction back in 2021. I had graduated high school, my brother had just gotten married, and I was attending my first semester at Western Connecticut State University. However, when the signs came, I was lucky to notice them and have a mother advocating for me to get checked out. On the week of my 18th Birthday, November 1st, 2021, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and admitted to Connecticut Children's Hospital in Hartford, CT. To hear the word "Cancer" hit me hard, but I could not stop but think of how hard it was for my family and close friends. I had to take time off from school, work, and ultimately from society altogether. I admire how strong my family was during this time. From being able to tolerate my reactions to every new medication. To the countless hour-long drives to and from the hospital, and to maintain a strong front throughout these 2.5 years. I had hit my all-time low three months into chemotherapy. I was ready to throw in the towel. I had felt that this was one battle I was not winning. It remained until my brother and his wife woke my mom and me to some big news… their first child. Today, I am a caring uncle of two. I owe it to my nephew and niece for motivating me to push through the darkest times. The following dates are the ones to remember. February 7th, 2024, is my official last day of chemotherapy. February 14th, 2024, the surgery to take the port out of my chest, was by far the best Valentine’s Day I have ever had. Every day, I thank God for giving me the strength to live long enough to share my story. This experience taught me to cherish the little things, never take life for granted, and prioritize putting myself first. I am thrilled about flight camp and very delighted for the opportunity. I have never been to the western region. I admire nature and its beauty. It will be one experience to remember. Here's a photo of me with my nephew and niece:

Sara is attending The University of Tennessee at Martin as a social worker major. She is also working as a substitute teacher. In 2015, Sara became a patient at St. Jude after being diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1, for short), a condition that causes tumors to grow all over her body. She’s had several surgeries in the past and is looking at another one in the next few months. Sara has an older sister and a younger brother. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hunting, and fishing. Sara is excited about Flight Camp - although Jax doesn't get to come! UPDATE: 10th Cancer Survivor Flight Camp for Eagle Mount Bozeman 2024! CAMPER SPOTLIGHT: Please meet Ellie Kuhn from Pana, Illinois. Ellie is 20 years old and currently attending Southern Illinois University for Forestry. During her freshman year at SIU, Ellie was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Last May, she had surgery to remove her thyroid and 47 lymph nodes. Three weeks after surgery, she underwent Radioactive Iodine Treatment to get rid of any remaining thyroid tissue and cancer cells. Thankfully, Ellie is now in remission! Following her cancer treatment, Ellie was fortunate to attend YAR with her sister, Emily who had Aplastic Anemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2014. Ellie says, “I now realize life can change at any time and I cherish the little moments in life a lot more now. I cannot wait for flight camp!” Also, we hear Ellie is a huge fan of going to concerts and loves animals and the outdoors. Flight Camp is less than 6 weeks away and we are just under 30% of our fundraising goal!
