We had the opportunity to volunteer at the Chino Food Bank with The Isaiah’s Rock Church, and it was an incredible experience. We helped organize and distribute groceries to those facing food insecurity and we were able to contribute to a cause that directly supports our community. It was wonderful to join Project Food in downtown Riverside last night. It was a truly rewarding experience to be part of something so impactful and different. We had the opportunity to provide personal hygiene kits to many individuals in need and also assisted with organizing clothes. The evening began with a heartfelt prayer with the staff and volunteers, followed by the kitchen opening and serving a hot meal to approximately 80 or more people. With All the fires affecting so many families in Southern California, I had the initiative to ask my team for volunteers to go a provide support to so many in need. I came across the Pasadena Job Center on social media and quickly realized how much they support the community. Before all the fires, they help people find jobs and provide resources for immigrants and so much more. On Wednesday we volunteered a couple of hours - Fatima, Adamaris, Maritza and myself and we were able to help and provide essentials to so many people and the amount of donations were short of amazing. We did a little bit of everything, from organizing donations to loading and unloading trucks and also assisted with handing out donations. This year's Magic City Classic was one for the books! My team had an amazing time engaging with attendees and connecting with other vendors. Go AAMU! We had an awesome event today with Reemo Wireless, helping kick off the coat drive at Epic Elementary School! The team was incredibly engaged and had a great time interacting with the students.
