Recently, our Boston Latin Academy juniors and seniors had an incredible opportunity to participate in a business competition with coaches from Boston College Investment Club and tour their beautiful Boston College campus. The experience was a powerful combination of hands-on learning, teamwork, and exposure to potential career paths. During the business competition, students tackled real-world challenges, pitched innovative solutions, and demonstrated remarkable creativity and resilience. The college tour offered a glimpse into campus life and the opportunity to connect with college students allowed students to visualize themselves in those spaces. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible, including the dedicated coordinators, mentors, and college hosts. We're celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week at PayPal and I had the wonderful opportunity to connect with my colleagues and students from Curie High School through a partnership we have with SuitUp Incorporated. The students were the CEO's of the company for the day and our task was to split into teams and come up with ideas for a strategy, app, or idea that would promote and teach financial literacy to teens. At the end of the competition, the student CEO's had to pitch the idea and one group of students was chosen and also paid (woohoo!!!). I was so inspired by everyone's creativity, intelligence, and willingness to participate. Whitney said it best, "the children are our future..." and I'm so glad that I work for a company that is helping to "build the next generation" of future leaders. Earlier last week, I had the opportunity to attend Boston College Investment Club’s partnership event with SuitUp Incorporated as a mentor for Boston Latin Academy students. My team led with other mentors and consisting of 3 high school students successfully placed 1st among 4 groups in creating a product pitch for Nike.
