Sugar Creek Charter School

Since our opening in 1999, Sugar Creek Charter School has been an educational pillar in the Mecklenburg community. We provide more than 1,600 K-12 students with a nurturing and thoughtfully structured learning environment characterized by an academically rigorous curriculum, character education, and a college and career readiness program, that prepares students for success in school, careers, and beyond. We are unrelenting in our mission to provide every student with a high-quality education that equips them with the skills they need to overcome socioeconomic challenges and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty that plague many vulnerable and minority communities. Committed to excellence and passionate about student success, our educators have high expectations for students and help them prepare for brighter futures. We partner with corporations and organizations to provide enrichment opportunities that fill opportunity gaps and give students a competitive advantage as they pursue their college and career goals.
