The Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School University—Sawyer Business School?offers an exceptional graduate fellowship program. This opportunity provides students with a financial award while allowing them to work in university departments, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Current MBA student, Gregory Kaufmann, had a chance to reflect on his SBS Graduate Fellowship experience so far: - - "Graduate fellowships at Suffolk University provide students with meaningful, rewarding experiences—something I can personally attest to. For over a year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a graduate fellow in the University’s Marketing & Communications Department. Under the guidance of Sawyer Business School Marketing Director Matthew Parillo, I’ve contributed to a range of impactful projects. These include organizing a marketing plan calendar, supporting website redesigns, graphic design, social media management, podcast scouting, and even event coordination for the Boston Celtics’ 2024 championship parade. This fellowship has been instrumental in expanding my skillset and providing hands-on marketing experience. It has also allowed me to collaborate with talented colleagues, strengthening my professional network. The practical, real-world opportunities have been invaluable to my personal, academic, and professional growth." Read more about the fellowship program here: https://lnkd.in/edQ44Syk

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School and the Professional Development Sponsorship Program for making my dream of attending my first AfroTech a reality! ???? Your support allowed me to immerse myself in the largest Black tech conference in the nation, connecting with over 20,000 Black tech innovators in Houston, TX. ?? Attending AfroTech was more than just a conference—it was an empowering journey into innovation, market research, and marketing analytics. I went with the goal of expanding my skills, building impactful relationships, and gaining insights into emerging tech trends that align with my passion for the beauty and wellness industry. ? Highlights from my AfroTech experience: Learned how tech integration is revolutionizing beauty and entrepreneurship. Engaged in powerful conversations with industry leaders about data-driven strategies and consumer insights. Walked away inspired to continue my mission of empowering Black women entrepreneurs in beauty and wellness. The Career Expo at AfroTech was nothing short of amazing! From on-site interviews to engaging conversations with corporate sponsors and recruiters, it was a hub of opportunity and innovation. I was particularly excited to connect with companies like L'Oréal , The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. and Colgate-Palmolive where I learned about their dedication to innovation and user equity. Hearing their strategies for creating inclusive products and services was incredibly inspiring and gave me fresh insights into aligning my passions with impactful career opportunities. Networking at AfroTech went far beyond exchanging business cards and LinkedIns—it was a source of inspiration. Conversations with people from all over the world sparked meaningful connections, some of which turned into mentorship moments. I received invaluable advice and resources to help me successfully transition into the tech industry. The generosity and encouragement I experienced reinforced the power of community and the importance of uplifting one another. This event reinforced my belief that representation, innovation, and connection are the keys to thriving in tech and business. AfroTech wasn’t just about career development; it was a celebration of community and culture that inspired to dream bigger and do better. I left my first AfroTech with a wealth of knowledge, inspiration, and motivation. Next year, I’ll return with new goals and an even bigger, better game plan—ready to make an even greater impact. Until then, I’m excited to put what I’ve learned into action! #AfroTech #RepresentationMatters #Innovation #ProfessionalDevelopment #SuffolkUniversity #BlackExcellence
