We are thrilled that members of The Eco Therapy Garden CIC have been officially recognised for their outstanding community work with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service - the highest accolade a voluntary group can receive in the UK. We have been a strong supporter of the community therapy garden, providing regular donations of much-needed materials, including tubs, pallets for planting, and former shipping containers repurposed for storage. Our team from the Kirkby Rail Transfer Loading Station frequently volunteer their time to help maintain and develop the garden. Additionally, the Kirkby Neighbourhood Community Fund has provided financial support, including a recent contribution towards a pagoda, further enhancing the garden's facilities. We are pleased to be progressing our plans for a new anaerobic digestion facility at our Holloway Lane site in West London. If approved, the facility would create reliable, renewable gas – enough to supply up to 8,200 homes – by recycling up to 100,000 tonnes of food waste annually. Benefits include: ? Generating renewable energy by producing biomethane to supply into the gas main ? Reducing CO? emissions – more than 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year would be captured and liquified? ? Supporting the UK’s net zero, energy security and decarbonisation targets We look forward to engaging with the local community before submitting a planning application.
