Deals, deals, deals! That was the name of the game at the 2025 Texas ACG Capital Connection. Chuck Johnson and I enjoyed chairing the 21st annual conference supporting deal makers and advisors in M&A with Morgan Stone and Jacy Luedde being the real heavy hitters. We added better defined meeting areas, round tables, a live band, a cigar roller, and customized bandanas (who knew you could make a bandana out of M&A icons??) to make it even more interesting! A few take-aways: ?Over 1000 attendees! Most of our local PE and IB firms, but also from across the nation. I think about 40% of the people I met were not from Texas. ?A lot of deal makers feel the market has been in a "wait and see" mode, but we are starting to see deals happening again. ?The past few weeks have been busy for our firm, and I heard the same sentiment from other advisors as well. ?People like candied pecans. A lot. Until next year!
