The team from the CTE Technical Assistance Center of New York recently spent two days with CTE leaders from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Yonkers, visiting NYC Public Schools. From the Brooklyn STEAM Center to Aviation Career and Technical Education High School, they saw how #CTE Programs are preparing students for careers and further education. Earlier this month, Ray McNulty, Senior Fellow for Thought Leadership at #SPN, led the Vision 2030 training session for teachers in the Valley Stream 24 School District. Manzanita Elementary School, part of Washington Elementary School District is making strides with their new “Bump It Up to Proficiency” strategy, thanks to guidance from Dr. Doran Gresham. As an instructional coach with SPN and the National Dropout Prevention Center, Dr. Gresham has been working closely with Manzanita’s teachers, sharing practical, hands-on approaches to manage classroom behavior, strengthen student connections, and create a positive learning environment.
