Our Global Transformation team in Miami recently came together to make a meaningful impact in our local community. In partnership with Feeding South Florida, more than 40 employees dedicated their time to packing over 800 boxes of donated food for older adults experiencing food insecurity, helping give back to the places where we live, work, and play. #Community #Volunteering #Subway

Around the globe, we’re thrilled to welcome new team members to our Subway family. Meet some of our new Subway Canada team members – Curtis Korchinski, Field Performance Director, and Romy van der Merwe, Senior Leasing Representative. “Since starting as a dishwasher at a local restaurant in high school, the foodservice & hospitality industry has been my home for over 20 years. After a career switch to Commercial Real Estate, I missed my roots and decided to re-enter the industry with the brand I love. It’s been incredible learning more about Subway and getting to know the amazing team who pour their hearts into the betterment and innovation of this brand. As a proud husband and father of two amazing sons, I’m grateful for the genuine support and acceptance that Subway has demonstrated to my family and me,” shares Curtis. “I joined Subway in August to be a part of something bigger and bolder, and so far, it’s been amazing! Yesterday, we unveiled “Fresh Forward 2.0,” our new global restaurant design, rolling out globally in 2025. The next iteration of our global restaurant image is designed to further enhance the guest experience, improve convenience and help drive franchisee profitability. ? Since the launch of the initial Fresh Forward design in 2017, over 20,000 restaurants worldwide have remodeled or built new locations in our modern image, helping reset brand perceptions and reenergize franchisees and their teams. Fresh Forward 2.0 builds on that foundation, with added brand personality and vibrant décor elements, while supporting our digital transformation journey by adding digital convenience-forward elements to the design. Tara Phelps’ remarkable 20-year journey with Subway began as a Sandwich Artist. Since then, she has taken on various roles, including District Manager, Business Consultant, Construction Manager, and now, Equipment Logistics Manager. “I was initially drawn to Subway because it brings back memories of family summer camping and boating adventures. What started as a job to support myself through college turned into an exciting career thanks to the brand’s dynamic environment and constant evolution – no two days are ever the same! In my current role, I’m fortunate to lead a fantastic team who make each day at work both fun and rewarding.” Tara’s dedication and leadership shine through her numerous achievements, including organizing Subway’s sandwich and cookie donations for the Stroll for Strong Kids event benefiting Golisano’s Children’s Hospital and receiving our CEO Spirit Award last year.
