“A mistake could be costly.” For many B2B SaaS finance teams, manual billing isn’t just tedious—it’s risky. That was the challenge for Michael Jannetty, VP of Finance at Scanifly, when he inherited a billing process that wasn’t built for the complexity of a growing, multi-product company. After evaluating multiple solutions, Scanifly chose Subscript—and within 3 weeks, they were up and running with a billing and revenue system they could trust. Now, Mike’s team benefits from: ? 10+ hours reclaimed for high-impact work ? A single source of truth for revenue and billing ? A true partner in Subscript, committed to their success For scaling SaaS companies, billing shouldn’t be a bottleneck. If your finance team is stuck in manual processes, let’s talk!

What’s better than 100+ Excel shortcuts? ?? Not needing them in the first place. Finance teams spend hours every month manually updating reports, cleaning up billing data, and double-checking revenue forecasts. It’s not just tedious—it’s risky. Small errors can turn into big financial missteps. The right tools don’t replace finance teams. They give them time back to focus on strategy, growth, and impact. Who wouldn't want: ?? Better forecasting ?? Smarter growth decisions ?? Clearer insights for leadership Excel is great. But time saved is better. ?? How much time is your finance team spending on work that could be automated? #SaaSFinance #B2BSaaS #SaaSCFO #Automation #Scaling

When I started Subscript, raising capital wasn’t the plan. After building and selling Freckle by Renaissance, I thought I’d fund Subscript myself. But as the idea took off, it became clear that we had the potential to build fast. More importantly, I had a support system of incredible people who wanted to invest, not just with capital, but with their experience, networks, and belief in our vision. Saying yes was an easy decision. Now, four years later, we’ve reached a new chapter with the closing of our Series A. Looking back, fundraising has taught me a lot—what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently next time. In this retrospective, I share those lessons, including: ?? Why we chose a single lead investor for the Series A ?? The trade-offs that come with raising capital ?? How to shape a compelling narrative and build fundraising momentum For founders navigating their own fundraising journey—this is what I wish I knew.
