Sublime — a communal idea collection and connection app that feels like a yoga studio ?? Sublime helps you save, connect, and share your ideas in a simple, beautiful, and community-driven way, empowering you to create something meaningful and contribute to a more human internet. Why I love Sublime: ● Ease of Use: Sublime is designed with simplicity in mind, and feels like a “yoga studio,” not an “airplane cockpit.” ● Seamless Idea Capture: It allows you to easily save text, links, books, podcasts, images, PDFs, videos, and more in one place ● From Collecting to Connecting: Sublime moves away from the limitations of folders and categories by allowing your saved items, called “cards,” to live in multiple collections simultaneously ● Related Ideas Engine: Sublime’s “Related” feature surfaces relevant ideas from your library and the libraries of other Sublime users, acting as a “portal” to a world of interconnected thoughts ● Smart Search: Sublime’s search function allows you to find anything you’re looking for using natural language, even text within images ● Communal Knowledge Management: Sublime fosters a community-driven approach to knowledge management where you can connect with others and share ideas ● Bridge Between Curation and Creation: Sublime bridges the gap between consuming and creating by providing relevant ideas right when you need them in your creative workflow ● Authenticity and Transparency: By sharing your Sublime library publicly, you offer others a “behind-the-scenes” look at your thought process ● Focus on Slow and Meaningful Creation: Sublime prioritises “slow AI” and encourages you to take your time to create “something wonderful.” Great work Sari Azout & Alex Dobrenko ?? Traditional productivity tools are failing us in the age of creativity. While great at tracking tasks, these tools can't help us figure out what to create or support the messy, non-linear work of innovation. Sari Azout, founder of Sublime, proposes a new vision for creative tools that encourage connections, facilitate serendipity, and support deeper thinking rather than just faster output. Sari explores the limitations of current productivity tools and how we can design better ones for the creative age. (link in bio)

    Founder | Strategist | Creative

I love what Sublime are building. The product has changed the way I work and my approach to parts of the creative process. It’s equally the community building and wider brand narrative that I love, full of intent and originality…a beautiful example of prioritising product AND brand, right from the start. I spend a lot of time “going wide”…collecting snippets of inspiration, information, conversations, digital and analogue clippings…clues to a narrative that can help shape my perspective for a client or agency project, or my own ideas. This ongoing “curation of knowledge” is an unruly, unpredictable, messy journey that sometimes feels fruitless. Sublime reframes this. It’s all these things… -??????An API for my mind -??????Helps you build context rich “digital gardens” -??????Curation > consumption -??????Rabbit hole knowledge -??????An Inspiration engine for ideas -??????+ more Thank you Sari Azout and team. When tech solves actual problems and is intentional about building for a better future..I’m absolutely here for it. New version out today. Link in comments. PS - I’m not in any way associated with these guys, I just use the product and think it deserves more attention.

    Building sublime.app

Introducing Whoa, Vol. 1: Conversations To Make You Feel Human As the world goes bite-sized, short form, full of platitudes and hot takes, I am drawn to deeper conversations, honest explorations, and more emphasis on the humanity of some of our favorite thinkers, creatives, builders and technologists. Featuring conversations with: Anjan Katta Douglas Rushkoff Yancey Strickler Leandra Medine Melanie Masarin Mason Currey and many others. If you have founder friends in your life, get them a copy! I’m obviously biased, but as a builder/creative/technologist this is exactly the gift I would appreciate and want for myself. Limited quantities available here: https://lnkd.in/e5m4EXKT

You don’t have to sacrifice success in order to create from a place of true authenticity and inspiration. This is what freedom looks like.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting?Sari Azout, founder of?Sublime, for an intimate workshop that is fundamentally shifting how our community thinks about digital knowledge management. For 90 minutes, Sari offered a masterclass that went far beyond typical productivity advice, instead exploring how we might transform our relationship with digital information from mindless consumption to soulful creation.

    Solutions Architect??Writing Hobbyist Academia #5to9

If a post isn't a controversial hot take, does that make it less worthwhile to read? Do you actually want to jump from outrageous post to outrageous post as you scroll through your feed? A recent blog post from Seth Godin explores this phenomenon of social media algorithms "amplifying the fringes" and what it means for cultural change and how we experience it. I don't do sensational clickbait with Hobbyist Academia. I believe that there is a slower, more intentional, more connective version of the Internet that would be a nicer place for all of us to live- and I intend to do my part in creating it. (h/t the lovely folks at Sublime who have surely inspired this mindset from numerous building-in-public posts that have delightfully seeped into my brain) ----- I took my love of learning, my media theory degree, and my squiggly career path and turned it into my passion project: an email newsletter at the intersection of digital sociology, design, business, and personal development. Hobbyist Academia is a curated corner of the Internet for interdisciplinary minds who miss school.
