Last week, we celebrated the launch of our 17th Annual Subaru Share the Love Event – our annual campaign dedicated to giving back with our Retailers. By the end of this year’s event, Subaru and its Retailers will have donated over $320 million to charities nationwide! To kick off the Share the Love Event, Subaru of New England employees came together to build 25 Bluebird nesting boxes that will support sustainability and contribute directly to the preservation of local wildlife. These nesting boxes will provide a safe, protected space for bluebirds to nest and raise their young, which is essential as natural nesting sites are decreasing due to habitat loss. The boxes will be donated to the Norwood Trails Advisory Committee to be placed along the Norwood Tiot Trail, a project that is located right by SNE HQ! We had a few special guests join in on the festivities as well – some friends from Subaru of America, as well as a few from Subaru Corporation, all the way from Japan! Thank you to all who joined!

Subaru of New England is proud to support Veterans on the 48, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the physical and mental health of veterans through organized hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Thank you to all the veterans across New England for your incredible service to our country!

Last week, our Subaru of New England team brought light to the darkness of cancer during the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's?#LightTheNight?Walk at the Boston Common! We are proud to have helped bring awareness, hope, belonging, and life-saving funds to cancer patients and their families. This is just one of many ways?#SubaruLovesToCare.

Today is Subaru’s 6th Annual National #MakeADogsDay! As you may know, October is Subaru Loves Pets month. Every October 22, Subaru celebrates the underdogs in shelters across the country with National Make A Dog’s Day. Subaru of New England and our Retailers are proud to team up with shelters each October to help the often overlooked dogs find their forever homes. Make A Dog’s Day is also a day to do something special for the dog in your life. Today, we celebrated by having an employee dog social at our HQ in Norwood, MA. SNE employees had a chance to bring their dogs into the office and gift them with Subaru treats and toys! At each SNE event, we work to incorporate Subaru Love Promise. Today, employees donated pet supplies to help local animal shelters, and assembled dog toys made out of recycled t-shirts! We’re grateful for our employees and our Subaru Retailers who embrace our Subaru Loves Pets initiative every year ?? #SNELovesPets

Last Saturday, the SNE team participated in the 2024 Shatterproof Walk Boston at Carson Beach in Dorchester, honoring those lost to addiction. This was our first time participating in this important event! The walk united the New England community in the mission to create a society free from stigma and judgment surrounding addiction. It perfectly reflected our Subaru Love Promise commitment to spreading love and making a positive impact in our communities. Together with the Shatterproof community, we’re working to create hope and raise funds for the millions affected by addiction stigma. SNE proudly raised $2,000 to support the walk, contributing to the impressive total of over $100,000 already raised by Shatterproof!

October is officially here, which means it’s time for our annual?#SNELovesPets?campaign! As part of the Subaru Love Promise and Subaru Loves Pets, our annual October?#SNELovesPets?campaign is our dedication to shining a light on New England animal shelters and the pets they care for each day. All month long, post a photo or video of your pet using the hashtag?#SNELovesPets?and Subaru of New England will donate $5 (up to $75,000) to twelve New England non-profit animal organizations. Throughout August and September, Subaru of New England and our Retailers proudly support the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, providing much-needed funds and supplies to high-need schools in our communities. Earlier this month, SNE celebrated our Retailers’ hard work and dedication at our annual Retailer Outing in Chatham, MA. During the event, our employees and Retailers assembled and donated 150 take-home math kits for every student at Chatham Elementary School – helping them continue to build their skills at home. Our President & CEO, Ernie Boch Jr., also presented a $15,000 check on behalf of SNE and its Retailers to Chatham Elementary Principal, Jennifer Kelly. This donation will be used to support special projects for the students throughout the year. At Subaru of New England, we are dedicated to making learning accessible to all children — a mission made possible by the unwavering support of teachers. This August, as part of #SubaruLovesLearning and in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru Retailers across New England have adopted local classrooms by providing teachers with flexible funding to purchase the resources they need to help their students thrive. Subaru of New England adopted 6 classrooms from grades 3-5 at our neighboring Balch Elementary School in Norwood, MA. Additionally, our employees came together to support the school and donated hundreds of school supplies for all of the students! We are proud to be More Than A Car Company, and continue to support teachers and students throughout New England. ????

Subaru of New England is excited to announce that alongside our Connecticut Retailers, we're sponsoring the Connecticut Cleanup! This event is organized by Save the Sound and is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which takes place each September. Help your community by picking up trash and keeping the places you love clean! Our Connecticut Subaru Retailers are always looking for volunteers - Stay tuned for the dates and times!

This month, Subaru of New England celebrated the hard work and dedication of our employees with a summer Employee Appreciation party – featuring a catered barbecue, axe throwing, ping pong, corn hole and mini golf tournaments, and a raffle from which several employees walked away with awesome prizes! In honor of Subaru Loves to Learn and our partnership with?AdoptAClassroom.org, we also kicked off our month-long school supply drive. Thanks to the generosity of the SNE team, hundreds of supplies were collected for our adopted classrooms at Norwood, MA’s Balch Elementary School! Subaru of New England CEO Ernie Boch, Jr. and COO Jeffrey T Ruble also provided an update and expressed their gratitude for the continuous hard work of our employees. We were thrilled to come together to celebrate our employees, and celebrate the team that continues to make us More Than A Car Company!
