We’ve all been there… You’re in a game, you’re feeling good, and then bam - you take a hit. You’re not sure whether you can or should keep playing. Your internal dialogue is teetering between nervosity for risk of future injury, voices of your dad telling you to tough it out, and concerns of your coach benching you for being a “baby.” These doubts are prevalent when we’re young, but they most definitely do not go away. A good example can be seen in this article published by our friends at the CLF. Co-founder and CEO of the CLF, Dr. Chris Nowinski, speaks on Josh Allen’s fall on the 10/11 game versus the Texans. Chris noticed Allen’s lack of reactionary measures at a point during the fall, indicating a loss of consciousness, and finds the clearing to play just 8 days after to be rushed. Given Tua’s recent head injury complications, Chris is exceptionally passionate at the moment about spreading awareness for concussion protocol and treatment. STY House Highlight Reel - 7/25/2024 Hi all! In these past few weeks, STY House has been active in a variety of sports and activities. Our lead man, Lewis Simon, got some golf in with a couple of Blackhawks players. Check out our Instagram in the next few days to see Frank Nazar rocking the red-on-white STY House hat. The STY House hat can also be seen on ex, now turned pro, University of North Dakota defenseman Logan Britt. Logan was seen rocking the STY House hat pre-practice. Sticking with hockey, our players were excited to have STY House coach and ex-Chicago Blackhawks player, Sheldon Brookbank, sign their jerseys. In other news, be on the lookout for our first ever STY House media day packed with athletes from youth to professional. Guests will be announced in the next week or so.? Similarly, keep an eye out in the media day and throughout our socials for an upcoming summer drop and an extra special Concussion Legacy Foundation “concussion month” hat and shirt design.
