2023 has been a devastating year for our environment. The National Centers for Environmental Information reports that this year, the U.S. alone has experienced some 25 significant weather/climate-related catastrophic events. Droughts and heatwaves like those experienced in the southern and midwestern U.S., wildfires like the firestorm which decimated much of Hawaii, the floods of the northeastern U.S.?and others are taking their toll with loss of human life and paths of destruction exceeding on average, $1 billion per event. The Way Of The Rain reminds us that we are both physically and spiritually one with our planet and it is in our hands, and only our hands, to protect her for our survival now and for future generations.
The Way Of The Rain has?accomplished much in 2023 including it’s larger-than-life artistic performances like "Hope for Earth," as well as educational film screenings and discussions, The Way Of The Rain has engaged tens of thousands of adults including more than 3,400 school children on three continents in crucial conversations about the environment. It has offered actionable steps we can take to alter the current destructive course we have charted related to our planet and its survival.?The Way Of The Rain?beautifully and poignantly illustrates the crucial environmental dilemmas we face and the challenges we must meet.
