On the first Friday of each month, the Broadway Arts District FW holds “First Fridays”, which give visitors a chance to sip dine, shop, and stroll between participating boutiques, galleries, and entertainment venues along Broadway in downtown Fort Wayne. ?? Some of our tenants, Gallery 02 and Kreative Framing, participate in this event, but are also regularly open Wednesday through Saturday, 12pm – 5pm. Gallery 02 and Kreative Framing were recently leased by our broker Andrew Eckert, and the businesses work synergistically together with similar clientele. John Kelty, one of the Gallery 02 owners, knew 1115 Broadway was the perfect place at first sight. The established artistic presence and historic features of the Broadway Corridor made it an ideal location for his new gallery. ?? When designing the space, Brian Robertson, Gallery 02's other owner, kept the original moldings and tin ceiling, now painted gold, and blended it with comfy sofas and large chandeliers to make the space warm and inviting to all. Currently, Gallery 02 has many local artists on display, showcasing mediums from jewelry to photography and ceramics to oil paint. Kreative Framing is connected to the art gallery through two different passages, so you can purchase new art in the gallery and get a frame for it right next door. ?? This Broadway location is new for Kreative Framing, but they still have a space on North Anthony Blvd, where they’ve been operating for over 40 years.
