University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) is a long-established nonprofit that provides more than 50 affordable, immersive and academically-focused study abroad programs across nearly 30 countries. Students from a growing list of 800 universities have traveled around the world to learn and discover rewarding career prospects at a USAC program. Faculty and staff at host sites mentor students through life-changing international experiences to prepare them to become active global citizens through credit-bearing classes, field trips, foreign living arrangements, internships and service-learning opportunities, sports and fun. USAC’s mission is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to succeed in the global society of the twenty-first century. We strive to provide an authentic, quality context in which students may grow into engaged citizens of the world, not only in the classroom but also through field trips, integrated living and academic experiences, sports, internships, and volunteer and service learning opportunities. As a non-profit, university-based organization, we understand the financial pressures students face to finance their educations. We are committed to maintaining modest fees for our programs and in addition work to provide scholarships and access to other means of financing in order to provide an affordable study abroad opportunity with USAC. Living and learning in another culture not only provides the competitive edge that today’s employers are looking for, but also offers a life-changing experience. The benefits of study abroad are multifaceted and extend far beyond the classroom—there is no substitute for the experience. Your opportunity to enhance your future prospects and have this life-changing experience is here now!

Happy International Education Week!! International Education Week is a time to celebrate the transformative power of studying abroad, and here at DIWC, Inc., we are proud to reflect on the incredible milestones we’ve achieved together. Since our founding, we’ve supported 61 inspiring scholars, who have ventured beyond borders, embraced new cultures, and discovered the endless possibilities of a global education. Through unwavering dedication and the generosity of our donors and supporters, DIWC has awarded $28,500 in scholarships to make international experiences accessible to those who need it most. These funds have helped our scholars not only cover financial barriers but also gain invaluable skills, perspectives, and confidence to thrive academically and personally. Studying abroad isn’t just about traveling to new places, it’s about challenging comfort zones, expanding worldviews, and building lifelong connections. It’s about empowering women of color to claim their space on the global stage and inspiring them to dream bigger. From exploring bustling metropolises to engaging in cross-cultural exchanges, our scholars are rewriting the narrative of what’s possible. The success of DIWC would not be possible without the community of passionate individuals who believe in our mission. To our board members, donors, volunteers, and supporters: thank you for your commitment to fostering opportunities and opening doors for future scholars. You have made this journey unforgettable and impactful. This International Education Week, we celebrate our scholars, past and present, and the ripple effect of change they create in their communities and the world. Together, we are proving that international education is a bridge to understanding, opportunity, and transformation. Here’s to continuing the journey and empowering more women of color to reach new heights! #studyabroad ??
