Wednesday, February 26 from 11:15 am – 12:15 pm ET ? The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a meaningful and unitive lens for helping students recognize global challenges encountered abroad, such as poverty, inequality, and sustainability. Through case studies, we’ll discuss leveraging the SDGs in programming to increase retention for at-risk student groups and using the goals to build and assess global competency skills. We’ll also share gamified and virtual tools that educators can use to introduce and raise awareness of the SDGs.?#ForumEA25

Global Perspectives, Local Connections: Utilizing Partnerships for Campus Internationalization with Ashley Szulak, Study Abroad Association; Teresa Hall, Central Piedmont Community College; and Lauren Rogers, International House Charlotte This session examines how local and global partnerships can enhance campus internationalization efforts, focusing on Central Piedmont Community College’s pilot program for intercultural professional development. Participants will explore how partnerships and collaboration add value and hear specific examples from Central Piedmont, a nonprofit community organization, and a study abroad provider. Through interactive discussions, attendees will reflect on leveraging similar partnerships to advance internationalization at their own institutions, sharing insights and resources for actionable implementation. #wise2025 #studyabroad #internationaleducation
