At Studio Soif, we specialize in creating and elevating challenger brands disrupting established categories, including the ascendant low- and no-alcohol space. With a consumer-led point of view, we love working with founders and brand leaders whose offerings ladder to purpose, whose growth ambitions are great, and whose appreciation for style and taste go hand-in-hand with a bold POV. Hidden in Plain Sight ?? : Studio Soif’s Latest Purpose Brand, Dr. Gary Barth I'll admit that when Dr. Gary Barth—renowned cataract surgeon, eye bank founder and former board colleague at the Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County—asked me to help raise visibility for his work, I didn't immediately see the fit. Then I learned about his private foundation, returning eyesight to hundreds of thousands in Southeast Asia including the remote Himalayas every year—now in the midst of civil war. While eye care is new to me, the purpose in Dr. Barth's work was crystal clear. Pitching "Wine Country to War Zones" as an angle quickly resonated, sparking curiosity with the goods to pay it off. Now, Dr. Barth's extraordinary impact is spotlighted in The Ophthalmologist—a respected special-interest publication with global reach, among other notable placements.     ?? Why the vacuuming pic? A little #BTS PR note alongside the celebration ?? Toasting Vi?a Don Melchor's #1 spot on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2024 takes me back to early 2020, when I had the honor of producing the landmark 30-vintage retrospective tasting (1987–2017) on behalf of the winery, for Wine Spectator. Sharing the vacuuming shot in the spirit of PR realities: with less than 24 hours' notice, we swapped Napa venues, polished glasses past midnight, and leaned on an incredible team—from cleaning/maintenance to IT—to create a stunning, seamless setting. Seeing the 2021 vintage earn this accolade cements its iconic status. Here's to an extraordinary wine that blends artistry with a true sense of place, and the remarkable work behind it all -- Technical Director Enrique Tirado and the dedicated teams at Vi?a Concha y Toro and Bonterra Organic Estates.
