With each passing moment, new storytelling trends emerge and novel methods of sharing reshape the way we connect with others. As a result, we have recognized the unnecessary restrictions that being bound to a limited set of directors can bring—this convention is not always in the best interest of a campaign—it is not always the best practice for the work at hand. We have also come to understand that production processes, frameworks, and systems, deserve a near-equal weight to creative direction and artistic expression. At Studio SDK, our unconfined access to a diverse network of voices, both fresh and seasoned, coupled with our proven ability to make ideas happen on time and on budget, has allowed us to continually compose resonant campaigns, regardless of the shifts in our industry.

    We are deeply honored to be recognized by The Anthem Awards for the global impact of No Escape Room. This project continues to resonate with parents and caregivers, shedding light on the critical issue of online child exploitation. Awards received: Gold: Digital & Innovative Experiences – Human & Civil Rights Gold: Digital & Innovative Experiences – Humanitarian Action & Services Silver: Digital & Innovative Experiences – Responsible Technology In partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, our interactive film puts parents directly into the experience of a child caught in one of these schemes, capturing the visceral, anxiety-inducing panic of suddenly finding yourself trapped with no way out. Since launch, “No Escape Room” has garnered over 400 earned media hits, 100M+ views and 26M+ impressions on social media. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support from our extended team and partnership with Gavin Portnoy, Anders Lindwall, and Studio SDK.

    Esfuerzo Mezcal is a project we started in 2018 and it has been a labor of love for all the partners and collaborators involved.     New Work from the SDK team for Castrol Motor Oil

    New project we developed with one of our favorite collaborators Mindshare Content+ for 2nd installment of the Castrol Better Oil Campaign. This was such a fun challenge fusing practical scenes and fully built Unreal Engine worlds to create seamless transitions both across remote locations and through the seasons of time. With the help of Michael Koerbel and our Virtual Production Supervisor Don Bitters we created both partially practical and fully generated scenes that spanned landmarks across the US. Alongside VFX, our Production Designer, Peter Kirkegaard and DP, Sean Conaty brought two months of world creation to life locally in Vancouver where we captured two :30 spots, consisting of 10+ locations in just two days on set. It's projects like these that demand the highest level of collaboration to achieve a vision that only Russell Stein and his team at Mindshare Content+ can dream up.

    Studio SDK Partners with Grow and NCMEC for Interactive Film on Teen Exploitation We are thrilled to announce that Studio SDK has joined forces with The Grow Agency and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to create an innovative and impactful interactive film focused on the crucial issue of teenage exploitation. Our project aims to provide a unique, immersive experience where viewers are not just passive observers but active participants. The interactive film allows the audience to make critical choices throughout the narrative, illustrating how their decisions can drastically alter the outcomes for the teenager protagonist. This dynamic storytelling approach is designed to raise awareness, educate, and empower viewers by highlighting the complexities and consequences of exploitation.
