关于我们
Located in downtown Long Beach and Los Angeles California, Studio One Eleven is an integrated practice of architecture, landscape, and urban design dedicated to creating vibrant communities. From master plans to individual buildings, each endeavor aims at making a more humane and sustainable urban whole. We believe that the purpose of architecture is the making of the City. From the geography of the region to the disposition of blocks and buildings, every urban component has an interdependent relationship with all others. We view every project as an opportunity to physically enhance the urban context that sustains it. In contrast to an 'architecture of time', ours is an 'architecture of place'. Our designs are not predicated by a singular language, but are inspired through the careful assessment of the history, climate, culture and context of the place where they stand. We believe that the best way to improve the future of a place is to understand its past, patterns and precedents.

We're pleased to share that our Design Director, Scott Parker, was recently featured on the ARCAT Podcast. In this episode, Scott joins host Cherise to discuss our West Harbor Project at the Port of Los Angeles. This project aims to revitalize the former Ports O’ Call, an LA landmark, by creating a mile-long waterfront promenade with flexible, pre-engineered metal sheds that set the stage for a renewed community gathering space. ? Well done, Scott! Listen now: https://lnkd.in/e4CQPQ9g

MLK and PCH is a transformative project that reimagines a busy urban corridor in Long Beach, creating an inviting haven for seniors. With 67 units—34 designated for formerly homeless seniors—the development offers a peaceful courtyard shielded from the street, complete with community gardens and a covered workspace. What was once a vacant lot now becomes a welcoming space where residents can gather, grow, and connect, bringing new life to the neighborhood. What is a design district, and what could it mean for Downtown Long Beach? Last night, our community came together to explore these questions in a dynamic workshop facilitated by Studio One Eleven. “The Making of a Design District” is an exciting four-part series that invites the community to imagine and shape what a vibrant, creative design district could look like in Downtown. This initiative opens the door to new possibilities for local businesses, residents, and visitors. A big thank you to studio one eleven and Sinead for leading the way in this important conversation. Looking forward to continuing the dialogue at the next session!

Last Sunday, we attended the Long Beach Public Library Foundation's 21st Annual Grape Expectations event at the Billie Jean King Library. It was a wonderful evening filled with wine tasting, great conversations, and community support for the library. We were proud to be there, having partnered with the library on the Lincoln Park Activation project and the Long Beach Terrace project. It was also a great opportunity to spend time with our team, including Alan Pullman, Sinead Finnerty-Pyne, Jitka Dekojova, Lynn Azali, and our clients Richard Lewis and Allard Kuijken.
