Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting two back-to-back field trips at our Las Cruces and El Paso offices. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with the bright minds from The University of Texas at El Paso UTEP Department of Civil Engineering from their Chi Epsilon Chapter at our El Paso office, as well as students from ASCE New Mexico State University from their NMSU Civil Engineering department at our Las Cruces office. Engaging with these talented student groups was very rewarding. They were eager to learn about our projects and processes. We were excited to share insights into our industry and provide a glimpse into the world of structural engineering. Connecting with future engineers is very important to us and we’re grateful to everyone who made these visits special. Meet Andrew Wiese PE, our newest staff engineer at Stubbs Engineering, Inc. Andrew joined us in July 2024 and is already embracing the people and projects here with enthusiasm. One of his favorite projects to date has been the addition of a 10,0000 sq. ft. galvanizing plant in Alvarado, TX. 🌟 His goals include getting his SE and collaborating with professionals in the southwest region. He's eager to gain experience in designing challenging and innovative buildings. We're pleased to have Andrew on board as he continues to grow and contribute to various projects in the field. 👷♂️ Exciting Progress Update! 🚧 We recently visited the Jonathan Rogers Water Treatment Plant with El Paso Water, to monitor the ongoing developments. During our site visit, we examined the rebar and engaged in discussions on expanding the concrete pads for the generators. Meet Daphne Salcido, our talented Drafting Technician at Stubbs Engineering, Inc.! Daphne joined our team at the beginning of the summer and has already made a significant impact. One of her favorite projects she has worked on so far is Thomas and Brown Replacement at NMSU, which is a three-story 31,000 sq. ft. engineering building.
