Established in 2010, Stryker Management combines more than 100 years of Directional Drilling Experience. Our understanding allows us to provide our customers with the application of some of the most extensive and accurate knowledge in the Directional Drilling Industry. Offering and providing a complete spectrum of directional services that incorporate multilateral, horizontal, conventional displacement, straight-hole drilling, open hole side tracks and re-entry applications, Stryker has the tools and expertise for use in extreme and rugged environments including, but not limited to, high pressure and high temperature situations, and oil-based fluids. Stryker’s tool utilization ranges from 4 3/4″ to 12 1/4″ with the ability to provide tools for other hole sizes and situations. We own all of our own tools and service/Maintain them in house, in our state of the art facility, located in Conroe, TX.

I always talk about my team being the best in the business and today wanted to go into more detail. Everyone I've hired has been at least partially a personality hire. I like to get to know people pretty well and try to get a feel for their character. When I was interviewing for a well planning role back in 2021, I interviewed 35 candidates. 3 of those resumes ended up in a folder called "Top Picks." Katherine Edwards, who is now our STAR senior well planner - one other candidate who has since moved on to other opportunities - and Tanner, who I was unable to hire at the time for a well planning job. What struck me about him is that while he understood I didn't have the resources to train him for the well planning role I was hiring for, he still asked if he could watch me work and learn for a day. After I told him that I couldn't hire him for that role, he still took time to watch and learn for several hours later on. I kept in touch with Tanner until March of 2023, when I finally had an opportunity I thought would fit his skillset. I really view him as a problem-solver. We weren't sure exactly what Tanner's role would be at Stryker, but I identified a lot of problems we needed to fix and I knew Tanner had proven he would be capable. Since then, M. Tanner Edwards has been an ace! There's no overstating how valuable he has been to my team and to Stryker as a whole. He's sought out problems and built custom-fit solutions to them and has performed his support role so well that people have forgotten all about many of the problems he came here to solve. He presents our drilling data the way we want it presented - honestly. We don't have an interest in "tricking" operators into giving us work just so we can underperform on day 1. Now that many of those problems have found their solution through Tanner's hard work - it's my job to remind people of those contributions so we don't take for granted how much he's helped us improve. Somehow, I think we'll probably be able to find some new problems and challenges to throw his way too... Proud to have him as a friend and teammate here!
