Structures Construction was honored to be selected by Interfaith Housing Development Corporation and Weese Langley Klein Architects for the rehabilitation project at Sanctuary Place. Sanctuary Place, a 69-unit residence, provides crucial housing and support for individuals who have experienced homelessness. Our team is proud to contribute to improving the quality of life for the residents through a renovation that addressed both the interior and exterior of the property. The interior rehabilitation focused on enhancing common areas and hallways on all floors, including the installation of new lighting, replacement of flooring, and fresh painting to create a more welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Exterior improvements included the installation of new fences, pergolas, and reconstructed front and rear porches for the townhouse units. Structures Construction has recently joined forces with Burton Anderson from J.A.S.A Carpentry Solutions to create StruxC-JASA, a Minority Based Enterprise (MBE). At Structures Construction, we are committed to diversity and inclusion, which is why we recently teamed up with one of our carpentry contractors, J.A.S.A Carpentry Solutions & Repair. The two companies formed StruxC-JASA, an African-American Joint Venture (JV) Corporation certified as a Minority Based Enterprise (MBE) with the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. Burton Anderson, majority owner, has over twenty years of construction and carpentry experience. Mr. Anderson has worked on numerous multi-family and commercial projects for both public and private developments. He has a multi-faceted skillset as an owner, carpenter, foreman, and general contractor with a focus in rough and finish carpentry.
