This past Tuesday we hosted the inaugural Female Athlete Leadership Conference in Boston at Emmanuel College (Boston)! We welcomed over 200 student-athletes and 75 coaches from 27 schools across Massachusetts for a day focused on empowerment, growth, and leadership. Highlights included Lani Silversides' impactful session on building mental skills toolboxes, Dr. Brooklyn Raney's energizing workshops on trusted coach-player relationships, and an inspiring presentation on the Power of Sport with Emmanuel alum Kiera Eubanks, who now serves as Youth Basketball Coordinator for the Boston Celtics. Special thanks to our incredible speakers, to Shantell Jeter for her work in helping share this opportunity within Boston Public Schools, to the athletes and coaches in attendance for their enthusiastic participation, and to Emmanuel College for providing the perfect venue for this transformative day. CURRENTLY IN OUR PWHL ERA ? It’s incredible to watch women’s sports and rising leagues cement their place in history. Even more inspiring is seeing Strong Girls alumni and FAM mentors at the forefront ?? This week, we got to do just that at the PWHL Finals, where PWHL Minnesota clinched victory in the 5th and final game of the championship series! ??! Huge congratulations to Minnesota, and more specifically SGU alums (Clair DeGeorge, RN, MBE, Liz Schepers, and Minnesota captain/PWHL founding athlete Kendall Coyne Schofield. We also wanted to give a huge congratulations to the PWHL for completing a history-making inaugural season.
