If you've been holding your breath waiting on what is going to happen on telehealth legislation, you can breathe—but only until?September 30, 2025. After that, we might be back to holding our breath. It seems crazy to keep kicking the can down the road, but that's politics. The recent Continuing Resolution extends?Medicare telehealth flexibilities through September 2025, allowing patients to?access virtual care from home, with?no geographic restrictions. But here's the real issue—this isn't a long-term fix. Telehealth has proven its value in?better patient outcomes,?chronic disease management, and?reducing unnecessary hospital visits.?Yet, we're still debating its permanence. It seems crazy but like I said thats politics. We?can't afford to play the waiting game forever. Everyone??in healthcare needs to?advocate for permanent solutions?that ensure patients don't lose access due to legislative uncertainty. It really hinders the growth of the system to have such critical legislation hanging in the balance.
